Your dog may love being a passenger in your car, but Fido can leave behind a sizeable amount of hair on your vehicle's upholstery. Here are some tips from our service department at Ridgeland Mitsubishi on how to control pet hair after taking your dog for a ride.

An inflated balloon that is rubbed over your upholstery creates static electricity that can attract and remove pet hairs. Put on a pair of rubber gloves, spray lightly with water and rub over your car seats to effectively pick up dog hairs. You can also mix a few teaspoons of fabric softener with water, then spray your upholstery lightly and wipe over with a clean paper towel to gather up pet hairs. Invest in a good automobile vacuum that has a special attachment designed to pick up pet hairs on upholstery and carpeting. Lint rollers with sticky paper can also be helpful for this task.
